How to Get the Most Out of Your Eye Vitamin

Here are 4 tips on getting the most out of your eye vitamin every day!

Taking eye vitamins every day to improve and protect your eye health is a big commitment. These tips will help you get the most out of them.

  1. Take the full dose: Depending on the kind of eye vitamin you’re taking, it’s best to take the full recommended dose. It’s tempting to take half the dose to make the product last longer, but you’re cheating yourself by only getting half of the guaranteed benefits of the eye vitamin.
  2. You can take them with a multivitamin: EyePromise eye vitamins (except AREDS 2 Plus with Multi-Vitamin) are designed to be taken with a multivitamin. So, if you take a multivitamin, don’t worry about doubling-up on nutrients.
  3. Take them with a meal: All EyePromise eye vitamins are fat-soluble, meaning your body best absorbs the nutrients from the eye vitamin with fat. Taking eye vitamins with a meal also helps you avoid an upset stomach. Most vitamins come in two forms: water-soluble and fat-soluble. Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water and are then absorbed by the body. Fat-soluble vitamins dissolve and are stored in fat, being absorbed by the body. Bottom line: EyePromise eye vitamins are fat-soluble, so be sure to take them with a meal!
  4. Store in an appropriate place: Store at room temperature: 50-77 F (15-25 C). Do not expose to excessive heat. Because EyePromise eye vitamins are softgels, they can crack and leak in the bottle if it’s exposed to high heat.

  1. I only take half a dose because one of my doctors made me nervous about the amount of vitamin A since it’s not the water soluble type. I’d love to hear feedback on that.
