Why Supplementation Is Important

At this point, we likely know that nutrition is important for all aspects of our health, including eye health. However, you’d still need to eat at least 1 cup of cooked kale, 1 cup of cooked spinach, or 3 cups of cooked broccoli every day to really support your body’s need for lutein.

Omega-3s

Omega-3s are fatty acids found in fish oil and some types of nuts. These fatty acids are extremely beneficial for health, supporting brain function, heart health, and, of course, eye health. Eating fish like salmon, anchovies, and white pollock every day can help increase your fatty acid intake, but it’s difficult to know if you’re getting the amounts of Omega-3s your eyes desperately need to keep them feeling fresh and comfortable.
